The Current Media and Consumerism

It seems like today’s media and news coverage are filled with consumerism.  Factual, informative news coverage is scarce; instead the media coverage is flooded with products.  Everywhere you look there’s a trendy ad exclaiming what to buy next and where to buy it.  The majority of the ads out there advertise the latest and greatest products; the things that we want.  Fewer and fewer people are doing all the necessary research before purchasing the latest iPad   It’s understandable; these ads are designed to make you-as the consumer-feel and look good.
